Caring for honed marble
Because marble is a calcite stone, acids such as lemon juice, vinegar and some cleaning products can leave dull marks (etching), and spills can stain if left to sit. Seal it after installation, wipe spills promptly and clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner. A honed finish shows etch marks and scratches less than a polished one.
Where it works
Oyster White Marble suits vanities, feature walls, fireplace surrounds and kitchen benchtops, where its veining can be shown off across large surfaces. Every block of natural stone is different, so the pattern you see on Block 1768 is the pattern you get.
